At the center of the CityLife Shopping District (entirely relying on renewable photovoltaic energies and the largest pedestrian area in Milan), it is possible to visit, on Piazza Tre Torri, from 6 to 10 June 2018, the project Airship.03 – Fontana d’aria. A temporary climate / landscape installation that invites its visitors to immerse themselves into an oasis of architecture, design, advanced technology, sustainability and nature. A wood / cabinet of curiosities of the 3rd millennium!

The project Airship.03 by Austria Turismo and the interdisciplinary team breathe.earth.collective (co-authors of the Austrian Pavilion at Expo Milano 2015) collocates, therefore, in the context of the CityLife Shopping District as a prototype with different functions: an oasis where it is possible to breathe in the city, a model to purify air, an inspiration to prompt visitors to live a multisensory experience and to reflect on air and climate.

The installation interacts with the environment and the local microclimate: during hot summer days, Airship.03 becomes a refreshing oasis, thanks to the ventilation and the vaporization technology that reduce perceived indoor temperature by up to 5°C as compared to the outside, while, when it rains, water is collected on the roof and filtered in the central tank.
