Cersaie will take place from 24 to 28 September at Bologna Exhibition Centre, which has started its renovation
At Cersaie (International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings), held from 24 to 28 September in Bologna (Italy), the initiative of the Press Cafés has been reconfirmed: they will take place in the “Agorà dei Media”, where managing editors and journalists of the selected magazines will discuss with guests the topical issues concerning the sector.
Also ‘Cersaie disegna la tua casa’ (‘Cersaie designs your home’) has been reconfirmed. It is the free design advice offered by magazines and their architects to those willing to renovate their home.
Pavilion 30 will host the themed exhibition that, for the fifth time, will enhance Cersaie’s cultural program. In 2018 it will be dedicated to the relationship between the music of the 1976-1983 period and design. The exhibition, curated by the well-established duo Angelo Dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli, will be titled ‘The Sound of Design’ and, on a 700 sq m surface, will be characterized by a mix of products, styles, settings and moods.
Cersaies’s cultural program will be further enriched by the presence of a winner (still to be announced) of the Pritzker architecture prize (www.pritzkerprize.com) who will deliver a lecture for Costruire Abitare Pensare (Building, Dwelling, Thinking).
Other important new aspects concern the layout of the fairground, which will be deeply revolutionized from now to 2024, with the new pavilions 29 and 30 (destroyed and rebuilt) entirely dedicated to bathroom furniture. And this is just the first step since in 2020 the new pavilion 37 will be realized and in 2024 it will be the turn of pavilion 35.
