“My work starts from the desire to give objects an emotional component, to which we can become attached, because it is evocative or able to stimulate the imagination of those who buy them”
Stated Serena Confalonieri, the young Milanese designer born in 1980, who made many experiences abroad, such as in Barcelona and Berlin. Her works involve different sectors, product design, graphic design as well as collaborations with well-known brands
‘Baba’ for My Home Collection is a range of armchairs that plays with the contrasts bewteen the thin steel structure and the colourful fabrics. The inspiration comes fashion and in particular tribal dresses where the color plays a strategic role in the decoration of the human body.
‘Masai’ collection, a project with a strong graphic character, is composed by four ceramic vases and four mirrors. Colour and symbols are the tribal people’s distinguishing features; particularly in the Masai’s warrior society as they epitomise the DNA of their very clans.
Per la Milano Design Week 2018, Serena ha presentato: tavolini Ring per Saba Italia, vasi Mia per Mason Editions e la lampada Lotus per Mason Editions.
