The theme of the 2018 edition ‘Urbania, uno sguardo sul futuro delle città’ (‘Urbania: A Look at the Future of Cities’) focuses on the dynamics of architecture and on the complexities of contemporary cities.

Among the venues are the Politecnico and La Triennale, which will deal with the future of the cities from the point of view of design and architecture, with lectures by great international architects, while Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli will explore their implications on urban spaces through its program‘About a City: Places, Ideas and Rights for 2030 Citizens’.

In addition to the many exhibitions, Milano Arch Week will engage architecture students with a selection of the best dissertations, and it also will include moments dedicated to in-depth analysis of urban transformations, such as the ‘Ri-formare le periferie’ project and that for the Politenico Campus.

Milano Arch Week is promoted by the Municipality of Milan, the Politecnico di Milano and La Triennale di Milano, in collaboration with Fondazione Giangiacomo Feltrinelli .

Also this year, it will be possible to take part in the VespArch (https://www.eventi.polimi.it/events/vesparch1/) itineraries riding a Vespa (or a similar motorcycle). The initiative is the result of the collaboration among the main operators in culture and urban development, including Artlab, Fondazione Prada, Citylife (www.city-life.it), and others.
