After the opening of the first Muji Hotel in Shenzhen last winter, Muji, the Japanese multinational company that manufactures furniture and clothes, in August 2018 opened the second hotel in Beijing, overlooking Tiananmen Square. The third hospitality facility by Muji has already been announced: it will rise in the elegant Tokyo district of Ginza and will open in Spring 2019. Characterized, as usual, by a minimal and ‘no logo’ style, conceived to ensure high-quality comfort and a simple, plain elegance.

The materials have been chosen to offer a good night’s sleep and are all natural, of course: linen, cotton, natural stone. Guests can choose among six different room types and find everywhere items that are available from Muji stores.

The location is very central: the rooms enjoy a wonderful view of Tiananmen Square and it retains the atmosphere of the typical culture of the Chinese court. Nearby are also some parks and alleys where local people navigate through traditional tea shops and hawkers. [Text Valentina Dalla Costa]
