Architect@work, appealing international event for professionals and companies, will be held in Rome (17-18 October) and Milan (14-15 November), this year’s focus is on Light

The Italian edition of ARCHITECT@WORK will be back again this year, with its original and highly successful formula especially created for architects, interior and product designers. It will take place at Fiera Roma on 17 and 18 October and at MiCo Milano Congressi on 14 and 15 November.

Over 250 Italian and international companies will present their latest products for the construction industry and architecture (windows and doors, claddings, interior finishes, technical structures and materials, lighting, home automation, heating, sanitary ware, software).

The 2018 editions of Rome and Milan will be focused on light, which, thanks to the usual collaboration with the magazine DDN (Design Diffusion World) and this year also with APIL (Associazione Professionisti Illuminazione – Lighting Professionals Association) of FederlegnoArredo, will be the leitmotif of the cultural section proposed by the event.

The exhibition Light Box-Scatola di Luce, curated by APIL, will investigate what underlies lighting design choices through the study of different materials and their interaction with electronic technology.

Some of the best known names of architecture in Italy, such as Adolfo Natalini and Massimo Iarussi, Carolina De Camillis and Riccardo Fibbi, Guendalina Salimei, Filippo Cannata, Giovanni Traverso and Paola Vighy, Piero Castiglioni, Patricia Viel and Marinella Patetta, Ico Migliore and Mara Servetto, on the other hand, will give their contribution to the theme illustrating their latest lighting projects. Attendance at the seminars will entitle architects and interior designers to receive professional training credits.

The third edition of Architect@work in Rome confirms its mission to make operators and company meet in a professional and informal atmosphere at once, in a well-organized exhibition setting, including a free catering area and a specialized Temporary Bookshop. An unmissable event for the professionals who want to be up-to-date.

Seminars and debates will be moderated by architect Arianna Callocchia in Rome and by architect Elviro Di Meo in Milan, two valuable collaborators of Design Diffusion World.

The list of exhibitors, the detailed program of the seminars, details on the exhibition and photo galleries are available on the website of the event. Access is free for professionals, upon registration on site or online using code 6110.

The successful format of ARCHITECT@WORK was born in Kortrijk, Belgium, years ago, and it currently takes place in 24 cities that are the capitals of design and modernity.
