CÉDRIC GROLET WAS THE NAME OF THE PASTRY CHEF HIDDEN BEHIND THIS BEAUTIFUL AND TASTY CREATION

This eye-catching and tasty cake was created by the talented Cédric Grolet, a French pastry chef who is now working at the hotel Le Meurice. In the past years, he was honored with different awards and, according to the Relais Desserts association, was the best pastry chef in 2016.

Geometrical shapes are a running theme in Cédric’s art pieces, but his particular cake immediately catch our eye. It is a tribute to the famous Rubik’s Cube, the game that we have all tried to solve at least once in our life. However, the chef has foregone the Rubik cube’s palette of primary colors and opted instead for more elegant color schemes, for example, one cube is even entirely covered in a shimmering gold icing. It not only looks beautiful but it is also tasty, thanks to the new 27 flavors such as: cherry and tarragon, apricot and rosemary, chocolate and peanut.

The inventor’s cake design is getting loads of attention on the internet and on the different social networks. Many master chefs from all over the world are following Cédric’s cake design and tweaking it with their own ideas. If you happen to be in Paris, you can taste this delicious and beautiful cake at Le Dalì, a restaurant nestled inside Paris’ luxurious Le Meurice hotel.
