WHY SHUT YOURSELF AWAY IN AN INDOOR GYM WHEN YOU CAN EXERCISE IN A LOVELY OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT

Kebne is a minimalistic outdoor gym, whose shape recalls the Kebnekaise, the Sweden’s highest mountain. It is produced by Swedish company Nola Industrier, one of Scandinavia’s leading manufacturers of contemporary outdoor products.

The collection consists of five units that allow you to exercise using only your own body as counterweight and above all, allow you to exercise with other people in a lovely outdoor environment, without the need to shut yourself away in a gym. “The intention is to offer architects and city planners greater opportunities to furnish site locations with content that has both functional and social added values” says the designers Johan and Nina Kauppi. Everyone is free to use the furniture the way they want: strength training, stretching and other exercises, using only your own body as counterweight.

The triangular shape of the design offers strong, stable and self‐supporting constructions. The structure is made of 38 mm steel bars, available in three different colors: bright yellow, rusty red and anthracite gray. The wooden planks of the two smaller units, are made of treated Accoya as to resist in harsh outdoor environments. Kebne is perfect for any kind of space, such as city squares, schoolyards, parks, beaches and for any kind of person, no matter how fit you are.
