Marina One, the cutting-edge green complex in central Singapore, showcased in an exhibition organized by the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin

Berlin, October 28 – November 30, 2017

A project by ingenhoven architects (a German practice founded in 1985, with offices in Europe and worldwide, known for its super-green approach), in partnership with the landscape archietcts Gustafson Porter + Bowman, Marina One is the mixed use complex built in downtown Singapore, which will be inaugurated at the end of the year.  The project is illustrated in an exhibition organized at the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin.

4 towers, for a total of 400,000 square meters, Marina One is a project that can provide concrete and innovative responses to the megalopolis of the future’s demands, especially in tropical regions which, due to the growing population density (by 2050, the world’s population will increase to ten billion), are subject to increasingly challenging issues.

Green Heart – this is the title of the exhibition – puts emphasize on the natural wonder pulsates inside the complex, a tropical oasis with 350 plant species including plants and trees, which can positively contribute to the microclimate of the area, while also favoring biodiversity.

The exhibition, organized at Aedes, describes the project of Marina One in its main issues, from the genesis to its realization, through interviews with the protagonists, drawings, plans and even a documentary film.

The central element of the exhibition is, however, a five-meter-long sculpture model that allows visitors to closely observe, examine, touch with their own hands this miracle of nature, or rather of architecture.
