THE SALONESATELLITE OF MILAN LANDS TO CHINA TO DISCOVER THE FOUR MOST CREATIVE EMERGING DESIGNERS OF THE COUNTRY.
On the occasion of the second edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai, SaloneSatellite has awarded the most deserving emerging talents.
The lucky ones have been chosen among 50 young designers from all over China. The prize? A special invitation to participate in the very well known SaloneSatellite of Milan during the Salone del Mobile 2018, from 17 to 22 April 2018.
The first prize went to Studio Tame (Shanghai) for Flux, a lamp inspired by traditional Chinese craftsmanship and art.
The second went to Haoxuan Zhong (Bejing / Chaoyang) for Patting, a stool inspired by a traditional manual assembling technique that does not require the use of particular tools. The third prize went to Xiaoqi Zhao (Beijing) for Alone, a session that evokes the cozy shape of a leaf in its curvilinear structure. Special Mention to Yingyu Zhang (Hangzhou) for Cetus, whale-kneeling chair that allows proper body and mind posture, as well as being a tribute to traditional Chinese culture.
