If not immaterial, invisible probably is the best word to define Beosound Edge, the loudspeaker designed by Michael Anastassiades for Bang & Olufsen. Beosound Edge, in the purest B&O spirit, features an aluminium frame and a cylindrical shape that makes it possible to fit perfectly with any interior design, both resting on the floor or mounted on the wall, especially since the fabric cover is replaceable and can be in different colours.

Its technology includes a 10″ woofer for powerful sound, two 4″ midranges and a 3/4″ tweeter, and the Active Bass Port, with a motorised partition which opens to reproduce bass, for a total of 5 speakers; not to be overlooked, Beosound Edge plays music from both sides and has a diameter of 50.2 cm, with a thickness of 13 cm.
Simplicity is one of Bang & Olufsen’s main features, and even in Beosound Edge it doesn’t disappoint, thanks to the design details. Volume is raised and lowered by rotating the body; proximity sensors turn on the lighting only when needed. This wireless speaker supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Chromecast, AirPlay 2 connections. For Google Assistant you need to pair it with another speaker, like Beosound 1 or 2, and for Alexa you need to pair it with Amazon Echo.
A jewel of home audio like this, obviously has an adequate price, and will be for sale at 3,250 euros.
