The word ‘Scrigno’ in everyday language has started to denote pocket doors, a fate only reserved for extraordinary business ideas such as that of the Berardi family that, for nearly 30 years, with the counter frames mounted in the walls, has revolutionized interiors first in Italy and then all over the world.

In June 2018 a new era has started for the Scrigno Group with the acquisition of the entire share capital by the private equity fund Clessidra Capital Partners 3 and the appointment of Maddalena Marchesini as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager.

Maddalena Marchesini, before taking the helm of the Scrigno Group, held the same positions as CEO and General Manager at Assa Abloy Italia, world leader in door opening systems. Previously, she held positions in the fields of office furniture and industrial automation.

Scrigno, an international point of reference for the production and distribution of counter frames for pocket doors and windows, thanks to the strength of the brand and the quality of its products, in 2017 reached a turnover of around 68 million Euros, operating in over 30 countries with commercial branch offices in Italy, France, Spain and the Czech Republic.

The recent news make it possible to envisage further significant development for the Group and Maddalena Marchesini says that she wants to work in continuity with the Berardi family and to achieve further international expansion. Relying on the financial support of Clessidra, she envisages other acquisitions, like that of Master, a company specialized in the production of security doors, recently carried out.
