The research into organic design and furniture continues with “Design # l”, a redesign of the classic Thonet N. 14 chair, also known as the “bistrot” chair. The Thonet N. 14, commonly known as Thonet, although a trademark, became the icon of restaurant or coffee chairs, and is commonly referred to as the chair “coffee” or chair “Vienna”, as well as bistrot chair. A revolutionary project, built with only 6 pieces, it can be revamped with new materials and contemporary construction techniques.

Design # 1 by Revology, chair by bio and organic materials.

Absolute debut at Designjunction, as part of the London Design Festival 2018, Revology‘s Design # 1 is a reinterpretation of the bistrot chair, built with only organic or recycled materials. Legs and structure are made of a newly invented material, which mixes linen fibers and resin, seat and back are also made of plastic of organic origin which, thanks to a laser treatment, is extremely strong and scratch-resistant.

The laser treatment also allows to create a chair with totally customizable seat and backrest, with decorations and designs on request, or in limited edition; a new concept of luxury, with products respecting the environment, with an affordable price and high durability. The visible joints are in recycled brass, with a static and decorative function at the same time.
