The new electric scooters by Chinese giant NIU were presented at Milan Motorcycle Show 2018 to conquest the Italian market

During EICMA 2018 – Europe’s top show dedicated to two-wheelers – Chinese brand NIU, the world’s #1 company for smart electric scooters, presented its complete range, including the products that will be available from 2019.

All NIU models are designed in collaboration with Bosch, Panasonic and Vodafone to create the new generation of smart electric scooters and meet the increasingly widespread needs of European customers.

After selling 430,000 bikes over the first 4 years and opening 700 stores across China in over 150 cities, NIU is revolutionizing its portfolio with two new models that will be available from next year.

They are NGT and M+, equipped with a specially tailored Bosch motor with a nominal power output of 3,000w and 1,200w respectively, able to reach a top speed of 70 km/h, and with greater autonomy than the previous models. The new scooters by NIU are equipped with two batteries that make it possible to ride for 100km on a single charge.

But that’s not all: the company has recently entered the B2B market with the N-Sharing model. The N-Sharing scooter has the same characteristics as the N series (NIU’s best seller), but it is equipped with dual Panasonic 60V 29Ah batteries for a 3.48 KW output.

Thanks to the collaboration with many companies in different countries and cities of the world, such as GoUrban in Vienna, Cabify Movo in Madrid and Europcar Scooty in Brussels and Antwerp, NIU goes on supporting sharing economy all over the world through targeted partnerships and smart technologies.

A project that, according to Michael Castellano, EU Sales Representative of NIU, will soon arrive in Italy inevitably raising much interest since, to drive these models, it will be enough to be 16 and have a riding license.
