DDN PHUTURA, at the Sforza Castle in Milan, 9-14 April, will let everybody experience (through design) the best possible future for the natural and human environment with talks and installations

Also this year Design Diffusion News magazine is organizing a big event for Milan Design Week (9-14 April 2019). The area before the Sforza Castle will be occupied by DDN PHUTURA: an edutainment path including spectacular installations that will let – both professional and simply curious – visitors know – through a digital and immersive approach – the most innovative solutions that favor the relationships between people, with a special attention to the environment and using technology in the best possible way.

The creator and organizer of DDN PHUTURA, Francesca Russo, Design Diffusion World, says she completely agrees with the manifesto of the Third Paradise by artist Michelangelo Pistoletto. Therefore, the mission is to show international visitors of the Fuorisalone a third possible dimension that combines Eden (first paradise) with techné (second paradise), representing a balance of the two.

Two big transparent ‘greenhouses’ at the entrance of DDN PHUTURA

The two structures in Cristal welcome the visitors from Piazza Cairoli and via Beltrami (MM1 metro line) and immediately recall the idea of attention to nature and transparent communication. They are made for DDN PHUTURA by Privitera: the greenhouse on the right will be the ‘talk arena’, animated by excellent speakers, offering a rich palimpsest of talks concerning the themes of eco-sustainability and the new humanism; while the greenhouse on the left will be the reception and press area. At the sunset they will be enlivened by colorful light effects and performances of street artist will surround them.

The virtuous spiral of circular economy

A big circular installation by Saviola Holding will present, with engaging cinema-like effects, a step by step path to discover the transformation of waste into products made of recycled materials, in line with the underlying philosophy of DDN PHUTURA.

Glamping: luxury camping in the nature

The neologism is a blend of glam + camping, a growing trend that meets the needs of those who want to spend their spare time surrounded by nature, without sacrificing comfort or living luxury. DDN PHUTURA will host Luxury Mobile-Homes and Lodges by CrippaConcept, characterized by a refined and ecological design. A dream escape in the beauty of nature that will be very impactful in the urban liveliness of the Fuorisalone!

The connected benches

A typical piece of urban furniture, the benches of DDN PHUTURA, contain a technological surprise: connection. They will offer a relaxing moment and will make it possible to surf the net, getting in touch with near and distant worlds. These simple seats express the urban potential to experience time and space in a new way, from free time to smart working.

Success after success, DDN follows a green path

The event organized by DDN during the Fuorisalone 2018 was called Inhabits and, in the same prestigious location of the Sforza Castle, attracted hundreds of thousands visitors. An even greater success is expected for DDN PHUTURA in 2019, about which you have just had a preview.
