Melissa + Campana Crochet at Fuorisalone 2019

At the Fuorisalone 2019, ‘Melissa + Campana Crochet’, special edition by Melissa brand in collaboration with the Campana brothers, between fashion and innovation

A 15 years’ partnership will be celebrated with a special installation in Milan during the Fuorisalone 2019 (9-14 April) at via Palermo 1.

Also this year, the two brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana are back in the heart of the Brera Design District with the Brazilian shoe brand Melissa, presenting a shoe made with an intricate and light crochet texture, perfectly combined with plastic.

The ‘crochet’ products by ‘Melissa + Campana Crochet’ become other collectible icons: a comfortable and classic ballet flat in seven different colors, a versatile shopper bag with two shoulder strap options in four colors and the Mini Melissa Campana Crochet shoe, monochrome or with colored glitter.

The crochet motif will cover the conical structure of the main room of the installation to immerse the visitor in the world of Melissa and Studio Campana, in front of the pop up store that will open during the Fuorisalone, where the collections will be on sale just like on the Melissa website.

A portion of proceeds will go to the Campana Institute, whose mission is to use design as a transformation tool through social and educational projects.

Melissa, a brand founded in 1979, is famous for the recycled PVC accessory as well as a fashion, art and design curator and for the collaborations with important names including Comme des Garçons, Vivienne Westwood, Campana Brothers, Jeremy Scott, Gaetano Pesce.
