HOMI Milano: the debut of HOMI Outdoor

Starting from 2019, HOMI Milano will be made up of three shows. HOMI, the Lifestyle Trade Fair, will be held annually, in January; the range of products for the home will be completed by HOMI Outdoor, dedicated to outdoor living, which will be held in September.

HOMI Jewels & Fashion, the exhibition dedicated to jewels and accessories, will be held every six months during the Milan Fashion Week.

This differentiation has been required by the market, where stores are increasingly specialized and customers are very selective and well-informed. Exactly to meet these needs, HOMI becomes a highly specialized platform, able to offer added value to the several ever-growing sectors on the global market.

HOMI Outdoor

The new exhibition dedicated to outdoor environments, held every year in September, will offer an opportunity to discover the most innovative solutions dedicated to all outdoor spaces – balconies, terraces, gardens – and the latest trends in decoration.

The Outdoor industry

In Italy, there are 1,430 companies in the outdoor furniture industry, with a turnover of €5 billion. Of these, €1.8 billion are generated by companies based in Lombardy, accounting for 16% of the total, followed by Veneto, Tuscany and Sicily. As for companies’ turnover, Milan ranks first, with €488 million, followed by Bergamo, with €404 million, and Brescia, with €377 million. Naples, on the other hand, ranks first for the number of companies, over 800, followed by Rome and Milan, about 700, Padua and Turin, almost 600. Finally, 20% of the companies have a foreign owner, and 8% are run by people under 35.

HOMI Outdoor

The first edition of HOMI Outdoor will be held from 13 to 16 September 2019. It will be a new exhibition format dedicated to products and accessories for outdoor spaces, which are now an integral part of living spaces.

In particular, the Creazioni area has been confirmed, reaffirming the popularity already experienced during the previous editions of HOMI, thanks to the increase in product types included within the format of HOMI Outdoor.
