After Cocoon Maldives hotel, Lago fits out the H2O restaurant, led by starred chef Andrea Berton
Milanese chef Andrea Berton, whose Ristorante Berton in Milan and Ristorante Berton al Lago have received one Michelin star, also leads the H2O restaurant at the You & Me by Cocoon resort, in the Maldives. The setting is particularly striking, thanks to the large windows immersed in the depths of the coral lagoon. During the meal, guests are thus surrounded by the underwater flora and fauna.
This the second project by Lago in Raa Atoll, Maldives. The first is the Cocoon Maldives hotel, the first Five Star Friendly design hotel in the archipelago in the Indian Ocean opened by tour operator Azemar in 2016.
The furniture has been tailor-made by Lago for this project and is inspired by the style of the Cocoon Maldives resort. The Air tables, which seem to be floating on glass legs, feature hand-painted ceramic tiles, while the Dangla chairs are upholstered in graphite leather. Deep dark colors dominate the arrangement and evoke the marine atmosphere in the spaces.
The minimalist design of the interior of the H2O restaurant, on Raa Atoll in the Maldives, perfectly matches the philosophy of chef Andrea Berton’s cuisine. The result is the completion of the Cocoon experience, even at the table.
