Cersaie 2021: building, living, thinking

Among the many special events of the Bolognese event, an exhibition dedicated to the first results of the G124 project, directed by Senator Renzo Piano. G124 is the working group of young architects, named after room G124 in Palazzo Giustiniani in Rome, the seat of the Senate. The research is tasked with producing mending studies on the peripheries; the exhibition presents a selection of projects completed since 2014 with a focus on those now under construction in Modena, Padua and Palermo.

Also as part of “Building, living, thinking,” a lecture by the two architects Odile Decq and Benedetta Tagliabue, moderated by architectural historian Fulvio Irace. The sensory and tactile aspect of architecture, brought to the forefront by the pandemic, is a fundamental element in the projects by the two designers.

Eleven celebrated Italian architectural firms will be the focus of the “Small Talks Reloaded – Travel as Study” conference: Atelier(s) Alfonso Femia AF517, asv3 officina di architettura, Bricolo Falsarella, CZA – Cino Zucchi Architetti, Diverserighestudio, Iotti + Pavarani Architetti, Labics, MAP studio, Orizzontale, TAMassociatiWerner Tscholl.

Once again, a Pritzker Prize-winning architect will be giving the Lectio Magistralis at Cersaie: this year’s guest will be Shigeru Ban. The event with the Japanese architect is scheduled for Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11:00 am, at the Palazzo dei Congressi of BolognaFiere.
