The works will be opened by Alberto Felice De Toni, scientific director of Cuoa Business School, former Rector of the University of Udine, with a lecture entitled “Sustainability does not cost: an opportunity to be seized in the complexity of becoming.”

The event will also host the “Premio Eccellenze del Design Fvg”, which awards 20 projects and designers from Friuli Venezia-Giulia, selected from the Adi Design Index 2020 and 2021, in the running for the Compasso d’Oro 2022.

Conferred by the ADI FVG delegation to highlight the important role of companies and designers from the region in Italian design research, the award is part of the PDW to underline the support and the link with the event held in Pordenone.

Thursday, 10 March, according to Pordenone Design Week tradition, will be the day dedicated to “Lezioni in Vetrina” and design will enter the city, thanks to the participation of some stores in the historic center. “After the pandemic – explains Andrea Zanni, director of the University Consortium – we are partially returning to the original format, in collaboration with the world of industry, culture, economy, institutions, university and school, to connect Design, Art and Architecture to the production system, increasing values and visions.”
