Outdoor lighting by Catellani & Smith

The “iron wire” sculptures by Catellani & Smith are works of art that illuminate outdoor spaces

Gardens and terraces light up with style, with the outdoor versions of Catellani & Smith lamps. The lights create magical atmospheres, as in this project in the Monastery of Astino, in the province of Bergamo.

The large tangled skein of Fil de Fer forms a sphere that, thanks to many tiny LEDs, when lit resembles a celestial body. Made of natural aluminum wire and shaped by hand, it is available in three different diameters (50, 70 or 100 cm) and in floor or suspension versions. The floor model has an IP67 resin transformer housed in a black box; the suspension has a chromed metal base.

The lamps from the Sypha series by Catellani & Smith illuminate the greenery

Catellani & Smith’s extensive collection of lights for outdoor spaces includes several lamps that blend into nature as if they were wild fruits, creating magical atmospheres.

Catellani & Smith’s outdoor collection includes the Sypha line, which recalls the elongated, flexible stem of bamboo canes. The three models in the series, Syphasera, Syphasfera and Syphaduepassi, are available only in the floor-standing version and are perfect for lighting hedges and pathways.

This particular project uses the Syphasera and Syphasfera models. Syphasera is distinguished by a thin stem in black painted brass, brass details, and a luminous end in opaline glass; Syphasfera, on the other hand, is characterized by an 8 cm sphere, in transparent or irregular glass.
