Alcova comes back for the Fuorisalone 2022 at the park of the Military Hospital in Baggio
The fourth edition of Alcova, once again in the abandoned spaces of the Military Hospital in Baggio, returns from 5 to 12 June 2022. The Military Hospital in Baggio, surrounded by a large urban park dotted with abandoned buildings, is the perfect setting for Alcova’s installations.

After the success of the 2021 edition, Alcova 2022 confirms its attention to the development of design, of which it will offer the usual articulated and stimulating cross-section. The different projects on display will combine works by established and emerging designers; the new projects explore new horizons in terms of technology, materials, sustainability, social practices.

Renowned names, emerging designers, design schools
Among the participants, SolidNature will present Monumental Wonders, a new collection of unique pieces in natural stone and marble by Sabine Marcelis and OMA.
There will be installations by Studio Makkink & Bey, Muthesius Academy Kiel, Formafantasma, Studio Plastique, Snøhetta, Fornace Brioni, Lambert & Fils, and projects by the new protagonists of the design scene such as Leo Rydell Jost, Otherside Objects, The Empty Dinner, Material Fixations by Natalia Triantafylli and Andrew Scott. The 2022 edition of Alcova will also have a new section, Curated by Alcova, a platform dedicated to design schools from all over Europe.
Trame, SEM Milano, Muse Gallery and Paola Zani will come back with new products and experimentations, just like CIAM, in collaboration with food designer Laila Gohar. TABLEAU + Post Service from Denmark, Hello Human x Aditions from the USA, AtMA from Japan and RKDS from India will be involved in collaborative projects and exhibitions.

Alcova 2022 will also expand its offering of food and conviviality-related experiences with new collaborations. Caffé Populaire by Lambert & Fils and DWA Design Studio will once again take shape in the shade of the majestic cedars of the urban park. Moreover, Offcut Bar, a new bar in a lounge area designed by Solid Nature, will make its debut. Alcova 2022 also includes a rich program of talks and lectures, featuring ANDlight, ZEITRAUM and 4Spaces/ZigZag Zurich.
