DDN HUB 2022: the program of the week

DDN HUB returns to the Fuorisalone, on Piazza del Cannone, at the Castello Sforzesco, from 6 to 12 June, 2022. The sixth edition also promotes technology and sustainability

The layout includes a covered structure, complete with a lounge area, Faemina; an area for cooking demos, with the participation of Siemens; and a co-working area, with the participation of Tonucci and Luce5. Luce5, in particular, will give concrete examples of how light can be poetic, illuminating all DDN HUB spaces. In the covered structure, professionals from different disciplines will present innovative ideas and techniques in the field of eco-friendly design. DDN HUB 2022 will include a series of design and art exhibitions, round-table discussions and performances on the various themes related to the well-being of both human beings and the environment.

Outside, an exhibition of outdoor furnishings, Outdoor vision, will feature a terrace used as a relaxation area and several installations. The installations represent the balance between sustainability and technology; among the architects presenting their projects, we can mention Bertone Design with Furla, Isinnova with Brix, a construction system, and Progetto CMR with Rocktecture.

The Metaverse and NFTs

For the entire duration of the event, Cryptonomist, with Amelia Tomasicchio, will organize an exhibition of NFT projects. Visitors will be able to get closer to immersive digital reality, thanks to talks with experts on NFTs, blockchain and the Metaverse. The DDN HUB event will also take place in the Metaverse, with The Nemesis, and anyone in the world will be able to access it.

The mascot for the event, Konny, designed by Fabio Rotella, architect and artistic director of DDN HUB 2022, represents the union of biophilic and technological aspects, both in the real and digital worlds. Konny will take visitors on a journey into a dreamlike dimension to let them reflect on today’s complex issues – modernity, sustainability – and the possibilities that technology offers us.

DDN HUB will thus provide considerable food for thought about the state of the art in design, technology and sustainability both for professionals and the general public. The beautiful location, at Sempione Park, inside the Castello Sforzesco, will encourage the search for harmony in nature.

An event open to everyone

In the mornings of Friday 10th and Sunday, June 12th, DDN HUB will dedicate a moment to the creativity of children, a source of inspiration for adults. In collaboration with La Locomotiva di Momo powered by Becoming, will be organized the workshop “Fantastic Materials. Living in the world between nature and technology”, based on the idea that sustainability starts from in-depth knowledge and the scientific instrument.

DDN HUB will therefore offer, both to industry professionals and to a wider audience, food for thought and will allow to share themes on social responsibility, innovation, sustainability and technology. The program also includes entertainment and music performances, which will take place in full harmony with the amazing location of Parco Sempione that will host the event.
