Abre Lamp by Carlos Jiménez

An original lamp with a simple design, inspired by the traditions such as woodcrafts and pottery crafts, to fit in every space or environment from the most minimalistic to the most classic one.

Designed by Carlos Jiménez, Abre Lamp is a table lamp made in ceramic and wood.

The way to dim the light, moving up or down the interior cylinder, make the user interacts with the object in an easy and original way. There is not switch, the light turns on when pulling up and turns off when pushing down.

The result is a useful light solution with a clean and accessible design.

Based in the historic Manzano chair district, Zilio A&C is a family-run company who has been producing high quality wooden chairs and furnishings for over 60 years. The brand has presented new products at the Milan Furniture Fair: the collection confirms its refined Scandinavian design. Let's discover them:

  • Rapa (designed by Studio Mentsen) is a chair with an eye-catching, curvy yet rigorous design; a contemporary makeover of traditional, stackable, utility chairs. Its distinguishing feature is its gently curved backrest made of two, perfectly matching parts that ensure the comfort and ergonomic features of its seat. Rapa's supple lines are set off by the harmonious combination of  full and empty spaces while the ash wood finish gives it a strong, Scandinavian personality.
  • Leek (designed by Studio Mentsen) is an elegant coat stand that is constructed from three sets of three identical elements, and demonstrates fine woodworking and joinery techniques. All parts are first steam bent, then machined accurately to create strong joints. With its simple and clean aesthetics, the coat stand can fit comfortably in hallways, living or bedrooms of contemporary homes.
  • René (designed by Tomoko Azumi) is a wall-mounted bicycle storage with space to hang a helmet and jackets. The popularity of cycling is ever growing in cities all over the world, but where to store one’s beautiful machine in our modern living with limited space can sometimes be a problem. Tomoko Azumi, the designer and also a bicycle enthusiast, designed a wooden furniture to store bicycle that looks good inside home.
  • Nico stool v2 is a new casual addition to the Nico family (designed by Tomoko Azumi). Without the back rest and lighter in its appearance, this stool offers more flexibilities to the use in various spaces. The existing Nico collection includes the stackable dining chair, armchair and table and bar stool, and all share the rounded friendly form and striking appearance of ash wood.

Past and future come together in the present for the MAYFAIR collection, design by Diego Fortunato for Spanish brand VIBIA: it is designed to improve the illumination of private spaces, by integrating traditional elements, reinterpreted through technological progress bringing contemporary advances to the essential and authentic values of the past. The original inspiration for the fittings is provided by the traditional library and billiards lamps of the 19th Century. These traditional fittings have been reinterpreted in a highly contemporary manner featuring innovative materials, refined silhouette and incorporating a highly refined LED light.

The MAYFAIR pendant light is available in a single diffuser or multiple diffuser versions, with 3 shades in a radial configuration. The floor lamps and table lamps are characterised by their slender vertical column anchored by a metal disc base. The LED source is contained within an inverted conical insert within the outer diffuser.

The diffuser shades for the collection are available in a wide range of matt and gloss finishes and different colours as matt white, graphite and matt gold, polished copper, green and orange combined with gloss black nickel.
