DDN 242

BEYHONG SHAGHAI

An issue (almost) completely dedicated to Shanghai and beyond, translated into Chinese, present at events, showrooms, architecture studios and hotels during the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai 2018: this is our way of making the publishing industry go on in parallel with design entrepreneurship, making specialized diffusion stronger. This is how a language that communicates simultaneously, anticipating local events, and above all stating the importance and quality of Made in Italy, emerges. This is the mission of DDN, which, for the occasion, broadens the creative focus on China, publishing contemporary projects by international architects, completed or under construction on the Chinese territory: new offices, theaters, public works offer a real-time picture of the state of the art in endless development. It is not by chance that Carte Blanche is dedicated to Luca Nichetto, the famous designer who, with his works, moves from Stockholm to Beijing. Design Stories continues its story, with a focus on the wonderful vases by Carlo Scarpa. Italian Living mixes historical and contemporary houses, beautifully furnished according to the Italian style. Finally, Reallyitalian.it reaches its last episode, with unusual, high design creations from outside the sector.
